Explore physics, electronics, DIY science, and more.
I'm Val G. Rousseau, PhD — physicist, teacher, and lifelong tinkerer.
I created this site as a space where teaching meets curiosity. Whether you’re a student struggling with quantum mechanics, a maker who wants to build your own circuits, or just someone who loves to learn, you're in the right place.
As a university professor and researcher, I work on cutting-edge problems in condensed matter physics, but I also break things in my garage: I build electronics, design DIY chemistry projects, and make video tutorials that simplify complex ideas.
As a firm defender of the Theory of Relativity, I stand by the overwhelming experimental evidence and the rigorous mathematical framework that underpins it. From time dilation to length contraction, relativity has withstood every test thrown at it, shaping our understanding of space, time, and motion. Dismissing it is not a triumph of reason but a failure to grasp the elegance of nature’s laws. As I often say:
“The hardest thing to understand in the Theory of Relativity is why so many people want to believe it is wrong.”
Also:
“It is a curious fact that, just like flat-earthers, anti-relativists are found all over the globe, making their way to community meetings guided by relativity-corrected GPS.”
Here are some of the major “paths” you can take on this site:
